Thanks, Karin! My hair is the closest I can get to an Elsa braid. It doesn’t really show in the picture, but I have a short braid that wraps around my neck. I love Mel’s dress – we got it in Ashland in August.
Thanks, Lynne! I prefer my hair down, but I’ve had run with the pulled back braid – I think I’ll try it again in the future. I got the lace jacket in Ashland at a favorite store a year ago and with the beading it made a good approximation of Elsa’s gauzy overdress.
Do you watch “Once Upon a Time”? Their Elsa and Anna have impressed me so much that now I was to catch up and see Frozen. With two sons and no grandchildren [YET], I hadn’t had enough motivation to see the film.
Yes, I’ve watched Once Upon a Time from the beginning. It’s always intrigued Mel and this season with Elsa and Anna and other Frozen characters she’s really into it. I think Once Upon a Time is particularly wonderful for parents of young children who are steeped in Disney movies, because the show plays on those movies in an adult way (and yet kids can enjoy it). Do check out Frozen – I really it, and I think it has some great messages for girls that I keep meaning to blog about.
You both look great and I hope you had a happy Halloween. We don’t do Halloween here but you have all been talking so much about it that I thought I would get into the spirit this year. So on Friday night I closed all the curtains (summer is coming on here so it doesn’t get dark until about 8pm now) and watched my favourite ghost movie, The Uninvited, on DVD. It was great. You really can’ beat the old black and white suspense movies. They had so much style.
I agree with the other ladies about your hair, it looks lovely back off your face.
`What a great way to celebrate Halloween, Suzanne! I too love old black and white suspense movies. We had a very fun Halloween. We’re in Ashland, Oregon, where they have a big parade of everyone in costume down the main street (which is closed to traffic) and then trick or treating in the stores. It was so fun seeing all the costumes – lots of creativity.
