As a published author of fifteen novels and a former marketing director, I offer editing, copy editing, proof reading, and other publication and marketing support services to writers. Copy editing	$150 per 10,000 words
Proof reading including of scanned backlist titles prior to epublication	$50 per 15,000 words
Writing cover copy includes consultation with author prior to drafting copy and two sets of revisions	$150 per book
Query letter edit includes evaluation of query letter, rewrite of letter or detailed notes so you can rewrite yourself (whichever you prefer), follow up phone conversation, and reread of revised query letter with additional feedback	$150
Query letter composition includes consultation with author, reading of first 50 pages of manuscript, drafting of query letter from scratch for author to review, up to two follow up phone conversations, and two revisions of query letter per author’s feedback	$450
Partial manuscript edit review of first three chapters (roughly 50 pages) and synopsis with detailed editorial notes	$275
Comprehensive partial manuscript edit review of first three chapters (roughly 50 pages) and synopsis with detailed editorial notes, follow up phone conversation, and review of the revised partial	$300
Global manuscript edit includes thorough reading of manuscript, detailed editorial letter with extensive notes, follow up phone conversation	$1000*
Detailed manuscript edit includes chapter by chapter editorial notes and line edits of manuscript if desired, up to three follow up phone conversations, reread of up to 100 pages of the revised manuscript with notes	$3000*
Comprehensive manuscript edit includes chapter by chapter editorial notes and line edits of manuscript if desired, up to five follow up phone conversations, and reread of complete revised manuscript with notes	$4000*

*rates based on a manuscript of 100,000- 130,000 words. Lower rates available for novellas or significantly shorter books. Higher rates may apply for books significantly over 130,000 words.
